Arthur is a fun-loving eight-year-old aardvark that millions of kids around the world identify with as one of their own. He loves sports, playing with his friends and watching his favorite super-hero, Bionic Bunny on TV, but those aren't the only reasons kids relate to Arthur.
His experiences in books and on television speak to the everyday trials and triumphs of real children everywhere. Whether it's convincing his parents that he's responsible enough to take care of a new puppy, or realizing the consequences of a little white lie, Arthur shows that nobody is perfect. One thing's for sure though; kids can always count on him to tell the story from their perspective.
The goal of the Arthur television and book series is to gently educate while entertaining children and adults. Issues that are helpful to children including most recently such health concerns as head lice, asthma and peanut allergies have been presented through stories that are factual and supportive. Arthur is always looking for a new story to tell, so please share your ideas with us. As Arthur's creator Marc Brown says, "the very best story ideas always happen in real life first."
