Postcards From Buster

Arthur's best friend Buster now stars in his very own multi- media series celebrating the diversity of America's children. "This groundbreaking new format enables viewers to experience real people in real-life situations, all within the context of the familiar characters, compelling storylines, and kid-based humor that have kept our most popular television series Arthur, at the top of the rating charts." says executive producer Marc Brown.

The Emmy-nominated series airs as part of PBS KIDS GO!, the new destination for early elementary school kids supported and extended by a web destination where kids can play new online games, solve puzzles, listen to music, watch video clips and much more.

  • The half-hour Arthur spin-off, blends animation with live-action footage of Buster's travel adventures throughout the United States, with forays into Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
  • Designed to help children build a greater understanding of the diverse cultures of North America, as well as to help non-native English speakers develop their language and literacy skills.
  • Music by award-winning Argentinean composer Claudio Ragazzi (Next Stop Wonderland, The Blue Diner). Original songs sung by Los Viajeros using upbeat music genres help to introduce different cultures as well as reinforce ESL curriculum through repetition, rhyme and catchy lyrics.
  • Featuring Daniel Brochu who has voiced Buster on the hit series Arthur. Daniel is a talented actor and musician and also the co-artistic director of a new theatre company called Glass Onion Productions.
  •  A comprehensive teacher guide offers strategies for using the series and companion Web site to develop oral language and literacy skills in the classroom. The site also features games, songs, video clips, recipes, and maps as well as Buster Baxter's personal blog detailing his travel diary.
  • Little, Brown Books for Young Readers has published the first of a series of leveled readers titled Passport to Reading which expands Buster's television adventures and the people and places he encounters on his journey.
  • Postcards From Buster is closed captioned for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers.
