BORN TO READ, the newest collaboration by Judy Sierra and Marc Brown is a main selection of Children’s Book of the Month Club.



Lance Armstrong, a special guest star on ARTHUR next season recorded his character in New York recently. Stay tuned to see what kind of animal Lance will become on the show. And I wonder if the episode has anything to do with bicycles?



Nominees for the 35th Daytime Emmy Awards have just been announced. We are thrilled to have three nominations. The winners will be announced on June 20 on ABS at 8 pm.

ARTHUR AND D.W. VISIT HOUSTON

Marc and sister Kim, the inspiration for D.W., visited West University Elementary School in Houston, Texas and had a terrific time. Here they are with students from Kim Zimmerman's exceptional education class. Marc spoke to the entire school at an assembly and hopefully inspired some future authors and illustrators in the audience. What a great morning and the kids were wonderful.

Postcards From Buster Wins Parent's Choice Television Award.


ARTHUR IS NOT CANCELLED.

Contrary to a rumor on the internet, the ARTHUR show has not been cancelled. In fact we are presently working on new episodes for season 12 and 13 right now. We are also working on new episodes for POSTCARDS FROM BUSTER.

ARTHUR continues to be the most-watched children's show on PBS and one of the highest rated children's show in television history.

Marc Brown accepting the National Coalition Against Censorship’s annual award from Michael Pietsch, Event Chair recently at at the Rubin Museum of Art in New York City. The award celebrates those that fight for first amendment freedoms on our behalf.One segment from Marc Brown’s “Postcards from Buster” series showed a loving family, that happened to be headed by two women, going about their daily routines.The show was targeted by the United States Secretary of Education, who threatened PBS with a withdrawal of funding because of this specific program, which prompted many PBS affiliates to pull the segment.

"The purpose of Postcards From Buster is to celebrate all of America's children," explained Marc in his acceptance remarks.
