Beyond Arthur with other new projects When Marc Brown isn't working on Arthur and Buster books and television, he has collaborated with many celebrated authors. To date he has illustrated over 125 books since 1975. Marc has worked with his wife Laurie Krasny Brown on several highly successful nonfiction books on subjects such as friendship, divorce, death, travel, protecting the environment, health and their groundbreaking bestseller, WHAT'S THE BIG SECRET? Talking About Sex with Girls and Boys. Marc is currently at work on illustrations for a very exciting new book that is allowing him to return to one of his first loves, painting. He graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art where he studied painting and illustration. Marc currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Cleveland Institute of Art and refers to it as "one of the best kept secrets in the world of art education". Marc Brown divides his creative time between his main studio at Pilot Hill Farm on Martha's Vineyard and his studio in the West Village of New York City.
