In 1994 WGBH and PBS approached Marc Brown about the possibility of adapting The Arthur books to a television series. At first Marc was reluctant to become a part of a medium for which he had little respect. He soon learned that the objective of this new series would be to use the powerful medium of television to excite kids about reading. To say it worked would be an understatement. Arthur became the most watched children's show on television. The series has received 17 Emmy nominations and won 6. Arthur also received the George Foster Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting.

The phenomenal success of Arthur recently led to a spinoff series celebrating the diversity of America's children, Postcards From Buster. The new series just received 2 Emmy nominations and a rapidly growing audience on PBS. The format of the series is a groundbreaking combination of animation and live action.

Marc Brown acts as Executive Producer and Tolon Brown is Producer for both series. The shows are produced with WGBH in Boston and Cookie Jar Entertainment in Montreal.
